TOURNAMENT RULES - 2020

What You Need to Know

MORNING

  • Please follow direction of staff for launching and parking. 

  • Please respects residents at Lake Winnipesaukee. Keep noise level to a minimum and DO NOT block traffic at any time. Trolling motor only until you have passed the last dock into the channel.

  • Take off will be in front of the boat launch beyond 100 yards. Please stage off shore there. No FISHING, graphing, scouting, or equipment testing is allowed prior to send off.

  • Send off starts at 7:00 am and check-in at 3pm with only one flight.

  • Proceed single file in send off order. Pass the send-off boat with your live wells open and running, PFD zipped and buckled, kill switch attached. Make sure you are 150 feet beyond send off before getting on plane.

  • PFD’s must be on and buckled any time combustion engine is on.

  • If your boat is in gear, both anglers must be seated with both feet on the floor. No fishing while idling through no wake areas.

  • Speed limit is 45mph, obey 150 ft rule and no wake zones. All NH boating laws apply. If you get a citation for any reason your catch will be disqualified. Marine patrol will be out monitoring.

  • In the event of equipment failure, you must contact a tournament official first for your options.

  • You may not leave your boat except in an emergency. Please contact your host (below) for questions on rules or options available.

  • 8 fish limit, 12” minimum, lunker

  • Participants shall not fish within 50 yards of another competitor.

  • Participants will be penalized  .25 lb.  per each dead fish weighed, which shall be deducted from the boat’s total weight.  No dead fish will be eligible for the lunker pool. If a short fish (less than 12”) is weighed, boat will be penalized by disqualification of biggest fish. Courtesy measure must be requested when weigh-in bag is placed in tub.

  • Ties for Total Weight will be decided by the largest single live fish of the tied teams.

  • Ties for Lunker Pool will result in a 50/50 split of the purse for that species.

  • At the completion of the tournament, all caught fish still alive shall be returned to the water a distance of no less than 300 feet from the weigh-in site.  Fish must not be released inside any channel/river near weigh-in.

  • The boat with the highest number drawn for takeoff at a tournament will serve as the “Start Boat” (calls the take-off) for that tournament.

  • Fish must be alive, no culling of dead fish, artificial lures only.

AFTERNOON

  • Must check-in at 3pm, off plane, at check in boat 10 yds in front of launch. Check-in boat angler will be wearing Hi-Vis Vests. Late penalty is 1LB per minute.

  • Weigh-in by boat number only. Please stage near check in boat until you are instructed to come in for weigh-in.

  • This is going to be a weigh-in and boat retrieval . TWO boats at a time. No holding tanks will be available so do not come up with your fish until called.

  • You will be using your own weigh-in bag, please have the lunkers tagged, fish bagged prior to docking.

  • Please dump your fish into the drain sink and collect your water back into your bag. Leave your bag in the bucket and step back.

  • After your fish are weighed you can take some pictures and give the fish to your host for release.
